Founder of PC Aviator — Independent researcher in physics, applied mathematics, and number theory

Current Work: Grand Noninertiality

I am currently completing a long-form research project titled Grand Noninertiality — a first-principles rethinking of motion, acceleration, and gravitation, developed outside the constraints of institutional academia. The work focuses on re-examining what is usually taken as “given” in physics and rebuilding the entire model from the ground up.

The core of the project is a magnum opus manuscript, now exceeding one million words, with a projected length of around 1.5 million words at completion. It provides a coherent, self-contained, and parsimonious framework of reality that links physical intuition, precise new equations, and real measurements into a single, unified body of work.

The ideas in this work are not abstract philosophy alone — they seek to illuminate everyday physical reality more clearly and more truthfully. If successful, they could reshape how you understand motion, gravity, engineering, flight, and many of the phenomena that quietly govern daily life.

As the manuscript nears completion, I will gradually release material publicly so that interested readers, scientists, engineers, and students can examine the ideas directly and draw their own conclusions.

About Robert Ferraro

For more than three decades, I have worked at the intersection of aviation, software, and simulation. I founded PC Aviator, which for many years published Computer Pilot Magazine and produced and distributed a wide range of flight simulation products, including MegaSceneryEarth and other PC Aviator-branded add-ons.

My work has always been driven by the same impulse: to understand complex systems deeply enough to build something precise, useful, and enduring. A prime practical example of this philosophy is UltimateDefrag, a hard drive optimization tool I designed from first principles. The current physics project is the natural extension of that mindset, applied to the most fundamental questions I know how to ask.
